What
sizes are available in dog harness clothing?
The first step is to measure and weigh your dog and then
check our sizing chart. A dog harness should not be worn
if your dog or cat weigh over 10lbs. The harness rings
used are welded rings to prevent slipping off the fabric.
Another caution do not use a dog harness dress or vest
if you have a very strong dog. Although the harness rings
can take great strength, the items are constructed of fabric
and the fabric can rip leaving you with a dog on the run
and a leash in your hand. My Uptown Pooch loves the harness
dresses for the small dog. It protects their trachea from
damage from the use of a collar when pulling on a leash.
Little Emma our poodle, and Katie our small Yorkshire Terrier
use harness outfits all the time. Their necks are small
Emma’s neck is 7 inches and little Katie’s

Can I choose a dress from the Designer Formal Dog

of choice dresses can have a harness ring added to them.
We decide this by looking at our fabric and decided if we
can construct this harness dog dress to be safe. If we use
for instance an organza fabric, we will line the inside of
the organza with a satin and interfacing for the loop on

Rose Design specializes in the small dog clothing with special
cuts for the neck and arms. A tiny dog must be able to move
her shoulders and have comfort in the neck. We carry dog
dresses that will fit a 1lb. dog. You will be delighted with

Long Dogs such as Dachshunds are fun to dress. A Dachshund
dog dress is made differently than most other types of dog.
We have created patterns that will fit your dog perfectly.
We have special waistlines for their dresses as well as rounded
bottoms our the dog outfit so it won’t hang on the

Very Large Dogs such as a Labrador Retriever look lovely
in a designer dress. We custom all of our large dog clothing.
Orders for the large dog must be called in and cannot be
ordered on the web.
When ordering for a tall dog a dress without a rounded bottom
is best. Your statuesque pooch deserves to be noticed. A
rounded bottom will be to short for their long legs. Please
note that you have a tall dog when ordering and we will compensate
for your dogs
height.

What type of Velcro Do You Use?
We use only original Velcro. Imitations are not acceptable
at Emma Rose Design. My Uptown Pooch regards Velcro products
to be the best on the market. Choosing the correct size and
color Velcro is important to the design process.
